WA Maritime Museum explores how our courting with the ocean shapes what it approaches to be Western Australian. Perched at the harbour, the Museum draws one-third of the international/interstate tourists journeying Fremantle, Perth’s vibrant port town. It showcases the moments, voyages and vessels; the artefacts, people and the stories in our wealthy maritime history. The Museum is domestic to the winning America's Cup yacht, Australia II, an Oberon magnificence submarine, HMAS Ovens; Jon Sanders’ Parry Endeavour and lots of different iconic vessels. Permanent galleries immerse traffic in their ocean-centric culture and their dynamic calendar of brief exhibitions and programming ensures there’s usually some thing new. The Museum can be reached via water (on a river cruise from Perth to the B-shed terminal), with the aid of teach, bus or car. It's a quick walk from the station and there's sufficient parking in Victoria Quay.
