Victoria Park opened to the public in 1871, a delightful park, shrubs, full of flowers and trees. The park is full of wonderful flowers and trees, shrubs and a Rhododendron Dell. A special element, the Disabled "Sensory"Garden called "Sunny Valley" was inspired by Madam Isabel Murray who got a Civic Trust Award following its finish in 1967. Made of 14 distinct types of stone from neighborhood quarries such as Kemnay, Peterhead, Corrennie and Rubislaw among others, the wellspring was presented to the citizens of Aberdeen by the rock polishers and master builders of the city.
