Trinity Church

New York City's highest building upon consecration in 1846; Trinity Church includes a 280ft-high chime tower and a luxuriously hued stained-glass window over the raised area. Renowned inhabitants of its quiet burial ground incorporate Founding Father and first secretary of the Treasury (and now Broadway genius) Alexander Hamilton, while its superb melodic program incorporates organ-presentation arrangement Pipes at One (1pm Friday), and night choral exhibitions including new works co-appointed by Trinity and a yearly December version of Handel's Messiah. The first Anglican ward church was established by William III in 1697 and once directed a few constituent houses of prayer, including close by St Paul's.
