Saint Peter's Square
2020-12-23Also known as the "Piazza San Pietro" St. Peter's Square is the gateway to the Vatican and is situated in the core heart of the city. Directly before the square is found the St. Peter's Basilica, the worlds second-biggest Catholic Church. The Basilica and the Square are both named after "Holy person Peter", a missionary of Jesus, viewed as the main Pope. It is one of the features of the square since guests can see the ecclesiastical apartments just as the spot from where the pontiff tends to the group.
