Palazzo Rucellai townhouse on the Via della Vigna Nuova in Florence and is a palatial 15th century. The Rucellai Palace is praised by many scholars to have been devloped by Leon Battista Alberti somewhere around 1446 and 1451 and implemented, at any price partially, by Bernardo Rossellino. Its splendid veneer was one of the first to declare the novel ideas of Renaissance engineering based on the use of pilasters and entablatures in corresponding relationship to one another. The Rucellai Palace demonstrates the effect of the classical restoration however yet does so in a way which is loaded with Renaissance innovation.
