Basilica of Santa Croce is one of the most popular tourist places in Florence that houses the human remains of some of the absolute personalities here. It is the internment spot of Michaelangelo, Rossini, Galileo Galilei, Machiavelli and numerous others. The Basilica itself exhibits a few aesthetic works of numerous well known craftsmen, for example, the frescoes by Gaddi in the Cappella Maggiore.
