The Persley Walled Garden is the previous garden of Woodside House. It was procured and restored by Aberdeen City Council in 1997 as a feature of the Scottish Trade Union Congress in recognition of Workers Memorial Day. A rock obelisk was raised in 1998 as a perpetual dedication to those who have lost their lives in the working environment. The walled gardens were recovered from the world famous, however sadly now demolished, Crombie Mills Estate and consist of formal quadrants of box support with vivid sheet material plants set in the middle.
