The Serra Gelada natural park covers a sum of 5,653.92 hectares, of which 4908.95 are marine and 744.97 land, in the municipalities of Benidorm, l'Alfàs del Pi and Altea. The park protects the whole mountain reach and three symbolic islets: the Illot de la Mitjana, the Illot de Benidorm and the Illots de l'Olla and la Galera. The Serra Gelada is framed by a help that rises suddenly over the plains of Benidorm, l'Alfàs del Pi and Altea, and gives rise, on its coastline, to cliffs of in excess of 300 meters.
