Rome houses some of the most famous museums and art galleries around the world. Aside from the Vatican Museums, there are many top museums around there. The National Museum of Rome is composed of 4 different sites that house some of the oldest and most spectacular masterpieces in forms of sculptures, paintings and different artifacts. Today, the National Museum includes four unique, smaller museums, Crypta Balbi, Palazzo Attemps, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme and Baths of Diocletian. The Balbi Crypt initially consisted of a theater, a four-story block and a deck. The landmark was worked somewhere in the range of 19 and 13 BC under Lucius Cornelius Balbus, who commissioned its construction. The first auditorium had a sepulcher where individuals refreshed themselves and drank during breaks from the performances.  Among them, there is the famous statue of ruler Antonius Pius, the statue of goddess Athena and a statue of Dionysys with satyr and puma. There's also a remarkable statue of a Dacian, in yellow marble. That one is the most famous of the statues that once enhanced the Villa of Ciriaco Mattei.
