The Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Florence is mostly a technical museum which reflects replicas of the inventions of the popular technician and painter from the Renaissance period. For individuals interested in innovation, a visit to the small museum is an extraordinary encounter. Beside the replicas there is also a room with reproductions of the famous paintings of Leonardo da Vinci. A lobby of mirrors is also interesting. The Leonardo da Vinci Museum Florence is not exceptionally huge, yet there is a great deal to see. The largest piece of the museum consists of current wooden replicas of Leonardo's inventions. A large number of the dozens of wooden models are several meters tall. Beside almost every innovation is a description in 6 languages, including English and German. Notwithstanding the showed innovations by Leonardo da Venci, the machines, such as the defensively covered vehicle and the airplane, are especially well known with numerous museum visitors. It is a sort of muscle-driven helicopter, which Leonardo da Vinci called "vertical bird flying machine". Among the highlights are a plunging suit, a gun, an automatic weapon, and boats with in this time obscure propulsion and surprisingly the possibility of a robot.
