The biggest and well-Known Wax anatomical collection, La Specola is important for the Museum of Natural History in Florence and furthermore houses some beautiful taxidermy, including now terminated examples and an entirely flawed looking hippopotamus. La Specola is the most seasoned public museum in Europe, having begun as the individual assortment of the Medici family. Of uncommon interest are the waxes anatomical Venuses, wax models of exposed ladies presented in good old semi-suggestive postures, however with their rib confines and stomachs pulled open to the world.
