Kirkhill Forest is one of the best trail running alternatives, and an incredible place to get in some hill training. The forest is found northwest of the city, close to the air terminal. Regardless of whether runners pick the smooth roads all through the park or the rough earth and grass side paths, there is a running track for all skill sets in the Kirkhill Forest. Most paths are all around set apart with green path markers at each intersection.
