Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting, Kirk Office

2021-02-10

The Kirk of Saint Nicholas has been at the core heart of Aberdeen, giving refuge and spiritual worship, since its old establishment in the 12th century. In 1989 the north transept was adjusted to house St John's Chapel, devoted toward the North Sea Oil industry, including wonderful contemporary woodwork by Tim Stead and Shona McInnes' stained glass window. The Kirk of Saint Nicholas Uniting, as today is referred to, was established in September 2002 as a Local Ecumenical Partnership of the Kirk of St Nicholas (Church of Scotland) and St Nicholas United Reformed Church.
