Het Amsterdamse Bos

Amsterdamse Bos is a huge park – it is similar in its length to Bois de Boulogne in Paris, the difference being that it's far absolutely artificially created, on unused turf lands and wetlands simply out of the city. As some of the timber have now seventy years, Amsterdamse Bos is nowadays a real woodland, however as it has been planned and arranged, it has many facilities created for sports and enjoyment. You may enter the park from numerous places, however whilst you go through the principle access, you will see two big bunkers like constructions on both aspects of the street. Do no longer get scared – the proper one is a pleasant, huge café with a big terrace, great to sit within the summer time. The left building is a visitors centre, with a reception and a souvenirs keep and a small permanent exhibit about the park history (in Dutch, free entry; open regular 12 A.M. – 5 P.M.). You will have a huge preference of sports, but in Amsterdamse Bos that is a mixture of the wild herbal location (a new part called Schinkelbos), traditional park and plenty of everlasting sports activities facilities, this preference is wider than in some other park.
