The museum champs creative minds and thinking, and problem solving inspiration, celebrating the talent of the world's excellent designers and architects. Since it opened in 1989 it has staged more than 100 exhibitions themed around fashion, item and visual communication, showcasing crafted by Paul Smith, Zaha Hadid, Miuccia Prada and Frank Gehry, among others. Driving modeler John Pawson was behind the task, changing over an old 1960s incorporating into a striking new show space. Alongside its forefront program of brief exhibitions, the museum also hosts an assortment of talks and family activities. The museum opened in its spectacular new area on High Street Kensington on 24 November 2016. Significant and complex refurbishment works were done, including the wholesale reconfiguration of the structure and basement unearthing to increase floor region and hierarchical proficiency to suit the needs of the Design Museum, while adjusting the maintenance of the emotional views to the underside as concurred with legacy officers. The refurbishment was acknowledged while holding the famous illustrative copper rooftop in-situ, which required significant designing skill from Arup and the project worker, Mace. The facades have been totally supplanted to satisfy contemporary specialized structure standards.
