One of the wonderful differences between BPM and a traditional supermarket is the capacity to experience the marketplace at a leisurely pace, taking in all of the lovely smells, sights and sounds. Unlike a supermarket, you may ask the companies questions on the products they’ve added to the marketplace. This is a first rate opportunity to give your children a mini-schooling in where their meals comes from—from the unusual-searching fish at Red’s Best to the abundant seasonal produce (not continually visible on the supermarket) down at Stillman’s. Have the youngsters ask their own questions, or higher but, write up a simple scavenger hunt—with warm chocolate, a cider donut or an ice cream as the prize. BPM isn't always just a grocery store; it’s also a training middle for all matters meals, meals policy and cooking, way to the programming at the KITCHEN @ BPM—a nonprofit teaching kitchen operated via the Trustees of the Reservation. Take the youngsters to the regularly happening Kids Kitchen Story Time, or sign in for one of the kid-unique, arms-on cooking classes. Recent training for youngsters has been themed after Harry Potter, superheroes and Star Wars.
