The structure that houses the Borghese Gallery is a work of Flaminio Ponzio architect that for order of Cardinal Borghese started it’s started in 1612. In 1613 Ponzio died and the works were done by Giovanni Vasanzio (Jam van Santen) who extended the exterior with a U formed patio and finished the entire with specialties, openings, works of art sculptures and reliefs. Toward the finish of the eighteenth century, the structure was changed into an authentic public exhibition hall.
