Arch of Constantine
2021-02-12The Arch of Constantine was erected in the year 315 in memory of the victory of Constantine I the Great in the Battle of Milvian Bridge. The Arch of Constantine is extraordinary compared to other preserved monuments from old Rome. Thanks to its great area it is perhaps the most representative and photographed points of the city. Constructed from pieces of previous buildings, the Arch of Constantine is the most modern of the victorious arches that were underlying old Rome. It is 21 meters high, 25 meters wide and is made up of three arches.
