Travel in back time at the Adams National Historical Park, where you'll explore the birthplaces of two U.S. presidents: John Quincy Adams, John Adams and his son. Your trip begins at the park's Visitor Center in Quincy Center: After review the middle's exhibits and video presentation, board a streetcar for the short excursion to the curious frontier saltbox birthplaces of the presidents. Starting there, you'll travel to 'Peacefield,' the stately Adams mansion that served as summer White House to the two Adams presidents and home to generations of their descendants. Teachers, plan a field excursion to Adams National Historical Park! There are several incredible ways for your students to appreciate the park and become familiar with a great deal at the same time. We offer tours of the multitude of homes, albeit this is not suggested for more youthful students, and we have two educational plan based programs as well. Families in the American Revolution are best suited for 3rd grade and Pen and Parchment is proper for 5th grade and up. Reservations are required for all groups and can be made by calling the gathering reservation organizer at (617) 770-1175.
